Tbh, selling 3D models in online marketplaces is not very profitable for the 1st year or so until I'm able to build a sizeable catalog. My goal is to model 7+ cars total until my savings run dry and I have to go work a 9-to-5 to replenish my savings again. I currently live very frugally on only $800~/month. $620~ of that is on rent + utilities. Fulfilling this goal would help keep me afloat until my models start generating revenue.
