Jonas De Neef (born 1992) studied Modern History at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. He currently works as a librarian for the Belgian municipality of Ternat. Since 2020, he has published 4 books on the Napoleonic Wars titled 'An audacious charge: a classic study of the battle of Somosierra (1808)', 'In the wake of the Emperor', 'Devils, Daggers & Death' and most recently 'Through Fire, Frost & Failure: The Memoirs of Césare de Laugier ... '. In his free time, he writes articles for the Belgian Napoleonic Association and provided translation work for several historians worldwide, mostly focusing on the French perspective through eyewitness accounts. The Napoleonic Wars fascinate him since 2008, and many years later, he's still addicted.
