I'm a writer, comic and actor. I make live shows, short films, sketches, documentaries and sitcom tasters and will be starting a podcast soon. Most of these I make because I believe making things is its own reward, and if they make other people laugh or smile then so much the better. But if anybody has ever enjoyed my work and wants to send me a tip that'd be so lovely and much appreciated!
I never EXPECT people to pay me for what I do. I don't think anybody is obliged to pay other people for exploring what goes in their head and doing something creative with it. That's what I'd be doing anyway. On the occasions when I make money from it, I feel very grateful and proud. But I put out all my short films and sketches and so on for free, and if anybody has enjoyed them and wants to send a tip as a token of your support, then I would appreciate that so much, and it would be an even bigger reminder that the things I make have some sort of value to people. Thanks, keep on truckin'. The money I make here will go into a separate fund that I'll build up and put towards the expenses I need to cover with each new short/sketch/podcast episode, etc.
