Hello, I’m a Buddhist Artist Craft Maker, working in mixed media such as paper, wood, textiles, metal, glass, clays, love & light. Using paints, inks, enamels, wools and yarns, beads and pyrography, I bring my meditation practice into visual form. I like to create Perfectly Imperfect designs delighting in the handmade qualities, then layering muted colour tones, burnishing and embellishing into them. Or working with light through the simplicity of clean white papercut designs or catching the light in glass crystals, just as sometimes we might catch the light in a moment of meditation. I also enjoy playing about with photos I’ve taken. Overlaying & filtering to create unique interpretations of nature or reinterpretations of artworks I’ve made. Most of what I’m currently creating are mere doodles. I hope with ongoing support, to be able to spend time on a project I can currently only dream of - I need a steady income before I can take the time to focus on this particular dream.
