I'm an Englishman who has lived in Spain for the last 36 years or so. Married, I have three children who have 'flown the nest'. I write both fiction and non-fiction books. My fiction books divide into two genres; Fantasy and Thrillers. The fantasy books are all in the series ‘The Chronicles of the White Tower’ of which seven are now published, with the eighth, ‘The Summoning’ Volume 2, anticipated to be published in November 2021. There are two thrillers published – Unsafe Passage - a politically inclined adventure set in Georgia, USA, was published at the end of August 2020, and 'A Cargo of Dragons', which is set in England, Spain, and France in 1979 was published in December 2020. My non-fiction books also divide into two classes; there are two books about Jazz Vocal music and the first part of my autobiography; ‘Something to Remember Me By’, which was published spring of 2020.
I'm not sure if I like the idea of 'patronage', but in this day and age, when many people prefer to download illegal copies of books, albums and films, it has become almost essential for an artist. I would, or course, much rather people buy and enjoy my books, rather than merely contributing to my coffee, or in my case laptop, fund. However, that said, as I am retired and live on a small pension, all contributions are welcome.
