My name is Sonia, and I'm doing something either very brave, or very dumb; leaving a cushy job in computer science to become a full time illustrator or art director. Why am I doing this? My parents ask me that everyday. I've always had a passion for art, but was never really given the space or confidence to pursue it. While working in tech for 4 years, I felt stuck in something that just didn't make me happy. So now, I'm trying something new and terrifying but also something that feels so much more like what I *should* be doing. I’ve been lucky to work on a collection of unique projects so far: I first made geeky playing cards (Hylian Court, Moon Prism and Rebel Empire). Then I worked on a video game about the U.S. Supreme Court (Supreme Courtship). THEN I worked on a board game about climate change (Rising Tides). And now? Who knows what cool things will come my way?? :D
