Dear Reader, I am a young Chinese-Australian woman who writes, sews, felts, travels, draws, and games, among many other things. I live with an immunologist and a doggo, both of whom I love dearly. I work hard at my art to encourage compassion, through fiction or otherwise, and to celebrate beauty in all its multifarious forms. I am also interested in creating unorthodox, sometimes challenging work about stories I wished were represented already, but aren't. Writing is tough, and money is tight. $3 can buy one or two little somethings from Daiso, which will pay themselves off manifold in significant improvements to life quality. For instance, a soap dish saves me the time of scrubbing scum off the sink. Once I brought an extra-soft towel sewed into a tiny dress that just makes me smile every time I look at it or wipe my hands on it. I can buy roving wool out of which I can felt several figurines. $3 covers the cost of a 3-star Michelin meal, and then some. $3 is the price of an indie game on sale I can play on a bad day and review for you. (You can even point me to one/make a request!) I am always trying to save up. Depending on the circumstances, I'll save the money to make events like conventions more affordable, or general expenses easier on us. Every dollar helps. 💖
