Chrissy (HAWR volunteer)

With your kind help we can expand the hot room facilities so that we can rescue even more injured animals with 5 new incubators (3x Brinsea TLC50 and 2x Brinsea TLC40) Can you help us, please? The rescue urgently need more incubators for their specialised hot room for animals that are brought in who are sometimes in shock after an accident or trauma and need to be kept warm and stabilised. Young orphans desperately need the heat they would have received from their mother, therefore Incubators are invaluable to us for our work and they definitely save lives, please help us save even more! Please help us to collectively purchase the Brinsea TLC50, it has a range of features that are very beneficial to the work at the wildlife rescue as they are designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. The TLC 50 is exceptionally easy to use and offers excellent value for money. The cost per unit is £649.95 This includes VAT and delivery, the rescue desperately needs 3x of these. The cost per unit is £502.62 This includes VAT and delivery, the rescue desperately needs 2x of these. About the rescue: Harper Asprey is a registered charity RCN1143603. We are a wildlife rescue that has always been run by volunteers for over 30 years. We are based in Windlesham, Surrey. Last year we responded to over 1,600 wildlife casualties, a number that increases every year along with our costs for feeding the animals and keeping the rescue open. The rescue receives wildlife from a wide area and from many different sources, the majority come in via the general public, local vets, the Police and RSPCA. Seven days a week, 365 days of the year we rescue wildlife in a variety of unusual situations. Our aim is simply the three R’s - ‘Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release’ Returning our patients back to the wild where they belong is our ultimate goal and with your kind help to fund an incubator/s we can do this more frequently! Our aim for requesting your help is so that we can admit more animals, instead of closing our doors to new patients due to not having enough funds, cages and incubators. Our whole team are passionate about sharing knowledge and engaging with young people and we run an education programme that provides educational talks, practical help and support, such as; working with local schools to build and develop wildlife gardens, giving educational talks to local community groups, scout & brownie groups and we even get invited into local businesses to educate the staff. These talks are all given free and all we ask for in return are dog/cat food, old clean towels and newspapers for inside the animals cages. We believe our care and compassion for wildlife, our passion for our work and commitment to providing a reliable rescue service for wildlife within our community shines through our work and we hope that you will see this too and help to fund these much needed and valuable pieces of equipment for us.
