Update! It has been five months in Taiwan, and I've settled down quite nicely! Thank you so much for your generous support in the meantime, it has made a huge difference! I thought that I'd update where the money will go if you choose to donate: it goes to paying off some lingering bills in the US! I have a bank account here in Taiwan, but my bank makes foreigners wait six months before they can open an account capable of sending funds abroad, so I'm not able to send any portion of my wages home at the moment.
