Mark Cantrell is a journalist by trade and a creative writer by inclination. Broadly speaking, Mark writes a mix of science fiction, fantasy and horror, sometimes with an unseemly affinity for the dystopian. That said, he tends to write for the story and worries about genre later. So far, Mark has two novels to his name – Citizen Zero (2017) and Silas Morlock (2013) – both published by the indie small press, Inspired Quill. He also writes short fiction and the occasional poem, some of which have appeared in a variety of publications both online and off. As a jobbing hack with a background in B2B publishing, he's something of a generalist. Left to his own devices, however, he is drawn towards social commentary. Mark is originally from West Yorkshire in the North of England but now lives and works in Staffordshire.
