You know when you walk into a bookshop and you see so many beautiful books that sound so appealing and you want to take them all home, but you have enough control to not buy a book every time you go in? That's me, except I don't have the self control. Along with my uni textbooks, which were all novels, I'm stuck with more books than I can cram into my bookshelf. I want to get a big bookshelf that will fit my books, and look ridiculously empty, so I feel like I have to go and buy some bad boys.
Hi, I'm Felicity Feiner, a 24 year old Australian (Canberran) writer who writes for LGBTQIA young adults (ages 16+), does recaps, and writes non-fiction, usually about being queer. I have two degrees in creative writing - Bachelor of Creative Writing, and Bachelor of Arts and Design (Honours). My honours thesis looked at queer tropes in YA literature, focusing on the relationship between the "Gay Best Friend" and straight protagonist. I will often write whatever has captured my attention. My favourite genres to write are non-fiction, screenplays, book reviews, and speculative/sci-fi fiction. When I'm not writing or working, I can be found out and about with my fiancee, catching up on my favourite shows, playing board games with my friends (except Scrabble, which I'm terrible at), or taking dumb photos with my cats.
