I'm a writer and web developer recently transplanted from St. John’s to Montreal. You might have found this page through my COVID-19 in Canada visual timeline. I make a living as a freelance web designer, and am not getting as much work during the quarantine, so I'm spending my time trying to build useful tools and learn new things. As a writer, I'm interested in landscape, walking and history. I also contribute to Wikipedia and Atlas Obscura.
During the pandemic downtime I've been spending hours and hours working on a coronavirus data visualization website (covid19incanada.ca). A few times now, while muddling through code, I've gotten a notification that a stranger on the internet just bought me a coffee. It's so so so encouraging, and totally makes my day! Thanks so much for your support.
