My goal is to purchase a piece of land in the town I live in in Guatemala to build a dog sanctuary and get the stray dogs off the street, into a safe place where they will be fed and loved. The street dog situation here is near critical and needs help! My goal with the sanctuary is to provide a safe place for injured/older/abandoned street dogs, and other emergency cases.
Hi there, thanx for stopping by!! My name is Iva and I am a 60 year old Canadian currently living in beautiful Guatemala. I've been here since 2015 and Panajachel is a place I now call home. I came here to help with the poverty here and discovered in the last year or so that the street dogs here are in desperate need of help too. I started this Ko-fi page to raise funds to help me build a sanctuary here for the dogs who don't stand a chance of being adopted and live on the street, often in poor conditions.
