Healthcare garden design is an emerging area of specialization in which several professions converge to create environments of care. In this professional development program, attendees will discover the many ways gardens provide verifiable health benefits for their patients, staff, and visitors. These garden environments of care maximize the effectiveness of clinical treatments for illness and disabilities, and create passive garden experiences that significantly reduce stress.
I design gardens that promote wellness by using plants that stimulate the senses, are designed to be inclusive and provide a safe environment.
These gardens can be found at hospitals, assisted living facilities, mental health facilities, memory centers and hospices.
Any funding I receive will go towards trying to connect with facilities that deserve a wellness garden and search for applicable grants.
