While I think I do fairly well building my own covers, I'm hardly a professional designer. Starting modestly, I'd like to get some professional work done for my novel covers.
I write Science Fiction, Fantasy, and the occasional historical piece (the 1980s are historical, aren't they?) at lengths from micro-fiction up to novels that sometimes break 100,000 words.
Fueled by caffeine, imagination, and some days pure force of will (or naps), the ultimate goal is to be able to make a living with my creative work. It's a tough road and that goal might be a long way off, but every little bit helps.
Writer, indie-publisher, full-time student, menagerie caretaker, wandering ninja. I need all the energy I can get. My caffeine preference these days tends to be the odd can of sugar-free energy drink, and I only buy them on sale.
