My laptop is essential to the running of Bookshop Crawl UK. In 2024 we're scaling up to run a minimum of 8 bookshop crawls through the year and the tiny little slow and broken chromebook that I have just isn't cutting it anymore. From now on all donations and profits from ticket sales, after direct costs of running the events themselves are covered, will go towards a fund for a new (better, faster)laptop which allows me to get work done without it taking 6 extra hours of loading time....
I'm Bex, and I run the annual non-profit London Bookshop Crawl (Feb) and roaming bookshop crawls throughout the year to support bookshops and bring book lovers together. Bookshops across the country take part and we want to keep it free for them to participate while also being able to pay ourselves for months of work and for the running costs we incur for each event. During the pandemic we took our bookshop crawl online for the first ever Virtual Bookshop Crawl, including bookshops from around the world, and taking place across social media, and the London Bookshop Crawl Online was a big success in February 2021. We will be running more virtual events as well as producing content on Youtube throughout the year. We really appreciate your support!
