Keeping my websites—Fictitious Podcast and ConventionPrime—live on a decent hosting platform gets expense. Fictitious also requires media hosting fees (LibSyn) to then be distributed to the various podcast platforms. I need to offset those costs.
I host FICTITIOUS, a podcast about the storytelling craft of science fiction and fantasy. I interview writers about how they create their stories and fictional worlds. I'm a frequent speaker at comic and pop culture conventions, presenting seminars on fandom, storytelling, and how to level up your life using concepts from fiction and RPG gaming.
In response to the postponement of Emerald City Comic Con 2020 (due to COVID-19 concerns), I created CONVENTION PRIME, a directory website of indie artists and creators. It's designed to help geek consumers discover art and products across their fandom interests.
With more shows being cancelled/delayed, I've opened up the submissions to exhibitors from other shows, like Planet Comicon, WonderCon, Anime Boston, Fan Expo Dallas, & more.
I'm also known for hosting the NERD FOR A LIVING podcast, a long-running show about careers in pop-culture.
