I like to write historical threads, particularly about the local history of Edinburgh & Leith and more generally about Scottish social and industrial history covering such diverse topics as bread, macaroni pies, haggis, giant aeroplanes and autogiros. I have a long research plan of interesting and unusual things to share, but If you ask me to write about a particular topic in my sphere of interest I shall always see what I can do.
