I've found that lots of pieces of my current wardrobe don't work for me. Many of them do; trust that I am clothed and cared for. However, I don't have a lot of room in my budget for the kind of radical and intentional style change that I'd like to help use to signify being out as a trans and non-binary person while also funding the kind of experiences I want to support my family with. A Statement of Intent: I want my work to represent my understanding of myself in the world, and that means making some things about it expressly queer. I want to do this work, ultimately, for me to give words to some of my experiences, and to relate my understanding of the world as a person still learning about both identity and spirituality. I have zero expectation of performance, exposure, audience, etc. I want my work to be inspired by the same things that help me now see magick all around me, how I can harness it, and what I can use it for. I want to explicitly exclude nazis, transphobes, bigots of all stripes.
