The Rose Street Food Pantry is a public access point for people to get food. It is a free standing 4 level cabinet that is filled with food every day. It's open 24 hours a day. It's used by over 300 people per week. We created this to support our neighbors who are facing food insecurity. And it is working. This project actively helps to fill the gaps in the food system here. The local food bank is open 6 hours a week. We are open 168 hours a week. We keep it tidy, stocked and clean. We are asking for your support so we can continue doing the project. It is run by Henry and Veronica. We pick up food, sort it, store it, and package the 40 loaves of bread we get weekly from ACME bakery. We buy bread bags every 2 weeks so that the food is germ free. We have been stocking the pantry since October 2020. Our one year anniversary is coming up! We need funds to make sure there is food in there every day. Know that you are directly feeding single Moms, unemployed people in their 20s and 30s, Seniors on fixed income and young families. Want to us to buy fresh fruit, pasta, soups, bread, canned food, and food that people like to eat? We don't buy low quality food because no one wants it.
