The Rose Street Food Pantry is a public access point for people to get food. We are feeding nannies, seniors, single moms and dads, middle school kids, high school kids, people who live in their cars and folks who are experiencing homelessness. It's located on Rose Street near the corner of Belvedere. There is a map on the website: www.eastbayangels.org
We created it as a way for neighbors to support neighbors. It is also a way of reducing food waste, and sharing food that would end up in landfill. We have run the project for over 2 years.
We use donated funds from Ko Fi to buy fresh food, shelf stable food and to cover expenses like print costs for the signage that is on the pantry which faces the street that encourages people driving by to stop and drop food off. We thank you so much for your support! We really need it.
