Bloom Reviews was founded as a way to show my appreciation for the stories that kept me company during my early school years. The name Bloom Reviews comes from the tendency of shoujo manga and anime to use flowers and flower language to augment their stories and romantic moments. Flowers in and of themselves, especially roses, have been a symbol of love, romance, and passion across cultures and times. It’s an easily recognizable symbol, appropriate for a blog dedicated to discussing the many aspects of the genre. Support from Ko-Fi will be going towards manga and comic purchases as well as anime streaming subscriptions to support the writing of content focused on recent releases.
