The Centre for Enabling EA* Learning & Research (CEEALAR) is a Blackpool (UK)-based charity that assists full-time aspiring effective altruists in their education and research by providing them with low-cost serviced living, and a friendly, productive work environment, at no (or low) cost to themselves. It is also a thriving EA community hub, hosting visitors from far and wide. We are providing room and board, housekeeping, social activities, mentorship and a stipend to EAs at a total cost of ~£6000 per person per year. We think this is a very good deal for buying time spent working full time on work relating to EA and facilitating increased coordination and collaboration with a high-potential EA community hub.
