Hi! I'm California based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and voiceover artist and I go by Chris. I write music, play saxophone, and sometimes when pandemics aren't afoot, I tour with reggae/pop band HIRIE. Welcome to my Ko-fi fan support portal! Here is where my merch store lives, as well as occasional updates related to my goings on, music, and merch. Commissioned works are also available here.       Give me something to jam to and I'll but out my saxophone, a few mics, and record a half dozen takes for you to pick your favorite bits from. Alternatively, if you have a specific line that you want, I can also perform and record that (see add-ons for cost), and throw in the improved takes on top of that as separate tracks.

      Give me a topic and I'll churn out the beginnings of a song! You can expect, at least, an A and a B section, and a recording with rough demo quality vocals and accompanying instrumentation. Some lyrical ideas may be fully fleshed out or might be interspersed with scatting "placeholder" syllables instead of actual lyrics. (Yes, that's how I begin songs! :) An example of this process can be seen in the song Queen by HIRIE. I originally provided her what ultimately became the post-chorus ("You'll be coming home ... a love we could never know"), and she did the remaining 90% of the magic.

    For recording session work: please have an MP3/WAV file ready of the track you want me to record to. If you have any specific references (other songs which I can model my approach after), drop those links/song titles as well. For songwriting commissions: please come with an a topic, an idea, a musical fragment, a lyric, a chord progression, a vibe, a drum loop, really anything. (OK, if you really have NOTHING and just want me to go at it from totally nothing, pull my arm, I'll do it too :) If you have any "angles" or references ("I love the vibe of XYZ by artist ABC, maybe you can approach this like that?") I can work from that starting point as well.
