The sixth extinction is currently taking place. We are losing more species yearly than we have since the dinosaurs were wiped out. This podcast is one part history lesson, one part elegy, and one part cautioning tale for the future. Endling was started to spread awareness of these events and shed light on how often they are happening all around us.
Hi, everyone, my name is Alexandra and I am the host of Endling. I started Endling to tell the stories of animals we've lost to modern extinction. When people think of the word 'extinction' they think of something that happened to Woolly Mammoths or the Tyrannosaurus Rex- not something happening right under our noses. We are actually in the middle of an event called the sixth extinction where we are losing animals faster than what we should be. These stories deserve to be told. This Ko-Fi page will host updates to the episodes and will be another platform to tune in. Any money raised after my goal will be split between different rotating non profits working to conserve wildlife and a fund to be able to get better gear to interview more professionals in the field.
