Films For Change make environmental films that inspire positive change. Our latest documentary THE RWENZORI RAINMAKERS is in post production (editing stage). Please donate what you can, £ 5 will keep us buzzing with caffeine encouraging us to keep editing, while larger sums will now go towards specially composed music to really help make our story come alive. The Rwenzori Founders and their community are re-wilding, and restoring degraded land to protect both the returning wildlife and people coping with floods and landslides. The water table these mountains provide is hugely at risk. We have completed two shoots in Uganda and so far planted over 1200 trees. There has just been a huge mud slide damaging crops and homes this Sept 2023. A recent wild fire in August in their savannah habitat, also motivated us once again to fund more indigenous trees. Fortunately the team put out the fire in time before it reached their forest. Every donation you give us will support trees, tree care and help us tell this inspiring story. Thank you for supporting our documentary and community. The Rwenzori Rainmakers is about Saving the Rwenzori Mountains in the face of Climate Change. Every gift you buy in our shop will help our local community in Uganda help themselves. We urgently need more trees after a major mudslide on 17th September 2023. Sudden torrential rain brought down the silt from higher, arid hills that have been deforested. The Rwenzori Founders own forest protected their site, but many villagers have been badly affected.
