You can help us build the heart of the farm, which will be our fantastic community building. We will convert one of our barns into a 100-m2 space, all built with second-hand materials and sustainable techniques, thereby staying true to our mission of taking better care of our surroundings. The space will be used for Retreats, Yoga, Seminars, and Workshops.
The Forest Farm, located on Denmark's Funen Island, is a permaculture farm that promotes sustainable living through education and implementation of permaculture principles. We aim to regenerate the land and create a self-sufficient ecosystem while providing a space for visitors to connect with nature and be entertained and inspired. It all started eight years ago when we decided to sell everything we owned, and move to first Bali, then Thailand, and then 4 years ago, buy a van, and travel through Europe. We had no specific plan or destination in mind; we just wanted to see where the road would take us. Over the course of eight years, we visited countless amazing places and met some incredible people. But eventually, it was time to come home. We had a wedding to attend back in Denmark, and as much as we loved the nomadic lifestyle, we were ready to put down roots again. As fate would have it, we stumbled upon Skovgård, a beautiful farm in Denmark, quite by accident. We were browsing for shelters, and it just so happened that the Danish nature protection service had listings online, and the farm caught our eye. We knew that something felt right about it, and something about it kept drawing us back to look. We ended up visiting the farm a total of five times before we decided to take the plunge and make an offer. It was love at first sight. The land was breathtaking, with rolling hills and dense forests as far as the eye could see. We knew we had to make it ours. To our delight, our offer was accepted, and we became the proud owners of Skovgård. It's been a wild ride getting everything set up, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
