My partner and I recently had to hire an immigration lawyer as some processes towards my partner visa have been extremely difficult. However, this does raise the fees of the visa from $5.2k USD to 8k USD (it was about 3k USD extra). Without this visa, a lot more additional fees will be needed (ex. applying for a backup visa, or traveling back to the US and apply remotely, which cost more money). So all funds will be greatly appreciated and will solely go towards the visa.
