The Mesoamerican Permaculture Institute (IMAP) aims to contribute to the overall wellbeing of the peoples of Mesoamerica. We work to promote food sovereignty, biodiversity protection, agroecological education, and the strengthening of campesino families. Our team has been founded and directed by Maya Kaqchiquel permaculturists since 2000, who've also had the support of national and international professionals, students, and incredible volunteers. What are you waiting to visit us? Discover our ancestral seed bank, taste the superfood that is organic amaranth, and sign up for our many educational workshops based on permaculture and Maya Cosmovision! We are located on the shores of Lake Atitlán in the hamlet of Pachitulul, in the San Lucas Tolimán village of Sololá, Guatemala.
