Autistic advocate and writer with chronic conditions and mental health disabilities. LGBTQ+ community member. I write primarily about ableism and policy issues affecting disabled people on my blog. I manage a project (currently on hiatus) called Psych Ward Reviews (though that has its own Patreon). I also volunteer for the Autism Women's Network's social media team.
I put a lot of work into my writing and advocacy outside of my job, often at the expense of a lot of time and energy. In addition, my particular combination of mental health disabilities and chronic conditions means ongoing fixed costs. I have insurance, but sometimes things are a bit tight in that regard. My cat, who provides emotional support, also needs medication and hypoallergenic food. The quality of care I give her is very important to me.
