I'm a full-time writer living a semi-self-sufficient lifestyle in deepest rural New Zealand. I write mostly for children, with picture books my specialty, My 60+ titles have been translated into 18 languages and have numerous awards, Last year my transition memoir Faking it was published by Penguin NZ. My wife, Marion, is a full-time potter. We live with 23 chickens, two goats, two sheep and a cat called Monty.
