I would really love to obtain a small plot of land, perhaps with a ruined cottage, to work to allow the land to rewild itself, with any assistance I and others could give. I would document the process through words, songs, poems, stories and pictures. I would plant native trees in a labyrinth pattern and to allow people to walk the land in meditative awareness and as an act of decolonialisation of the place and all its inhabitants.
I was born in the Highlands of Scotland. I left the global North after university, and spent a number of years working as a volunteer (VSO) in Sudan, Indonesia and Kenya. I went to study in Oxford University under Professor Barbara Harrell-Bond, a woman who had a profound influence. I met, and subsequently married, an Irishman and spent nearly twenty years in the west of Ireland, struggling to find sufficient work, and rearing two children. While there, I completed doctoral research and received a PhD in ecological philosophy. I write, teach yoga and meditation, and offer existential therapy. Get in touch!
