Mahala Davis

Frog Pond Holler is a tiny mountain town where the internet is slow, there’s no Mickey D’s and jobs are few. It’s been over 20 years since moving here with my mother and daughter, leaving the city life behind. Starting over was hard. In 2016, I was “liberated” from my job at The Cubicle Asylum and found myself starting over again. Now that I have lots of time on my hands, I've delved back in to writing, a hobby I've enjoyed since elementary school. I do freelance posts for business blogs each month, but my passion is creating stories, attempting to find humor in the mundane. Join me as I tell the tales of living amongst the hillfolk. We’ll meet the kin, like Aunt Moses, Uncle Mullet and My Trashy Big Boobed Cousin with the Lazy Eye. My goal is at least one short story per month, but I plan to add photos and bonus videos too. Your monthly pledge will make it possible for me to indulge in things like the good toilet paper, hay for the furry roomies and the occasional bottle of gas station wine. I appreciate your taking the time to stop by. I hope to see you in The Holler!
