I'm a textile artist and dressmaker living in Edinburgh. I specialise in free machine embroidery that’s then made into soft furnishings, accessories and gowns. Hello and welcome to my Ko-fi Page. I enjoy sharing my embroidered creations and where my imagery inspiration comes from animal and botanical. The technique that I work with, free machine embroidery, is like painting with thread using a sewing machine. I can stitch on most fabrics and then make made to measure garments to commission. I often find myself working on historic base costumes for clients and my long held interest in stays and corsetry helps with these. Over the years I’ve acquired a lot of knowledge in my field and teach classes from my studio. From pattern drafting through general sewing to corsetry I love passing on techniques. I hope you enjoy viewing my work in the gallery and will consider supporting my practice. Small gestures of support along the way can really add up and help me as I continue on my stitch journey.
