“More Than Weeds” is a project aimed at changing our perception of "weeds", these spontaneous little plants that grow in pavement cracks and walls in our cities. Often unloved, sprayed or removed, these tiny patches of urban nature have a big role to play in making cities nicer places to live, from removing air pollution, to helping insects, or bringing colour to our streets! I have exciting plans for this project: a book, an identification guide, weed walks, talks for community groups & schools, guidance for local authorities, as well as awareness-raising on social media and in print. Sadly, I do not currently have funding to achieve this and have to do a lot on my volunteer time, with added costs such as web hosting or attendance to events. Any help will therefore be much appreciated!
