My laptop has a failing screen. Without a computer, I can't write. (It was a free computer and I've used it 5 years, I am on a wing and a prayer here.) We also have a broken dryer and you can't line dry during midwest winter. My kid's got issues with her saxophone that a professional needs to check out. Basically we need money to repair broken stuff or replace it and I NEED to keep writing.
47, single mom, disabled with mental goblins. Love writing, heavy metal, and am financially challenged. Also a couch potato because TV rocks. Dislikes include MAGA hat wearers, kid and animal abusers, Justin Bieber music, and social media. "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." Don't remember who said it but I like. As I love the Marilyn Monroe quote, "If you can't handle me at my worst, you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." So befitting a manic depressive ghoul like me.
I'm a writer. Blogging, articles, poetry, verse, short stories- I love to express myself via my writing. It is one of the only things I am any good at and it makes me feel alive. A friend told me to try this site because she thought my writing was good enough people might donate money to support its continuation but so far, it's been an epic fail. I am resilient and stubborn, though, so I will keep posting until people assimilate. I have over 1300 followers on my wordpress blog so...If I write it, they will come...and buy me Dr. Pepper instead of coffee.
