I am an award-winning writer, journalist, and storyteller who explores the future — and the past — of innovation, video games, and technology. I create the documentary-style games history audio series The Life & Times of Video Games and I write articles and books about untold stories in games and technology. My first book, The Secret History of Mac Gaming, explored the vibrant, surprisingly-influential 1980s and '90s Mac gaming scene. My second book, Shareware Heroes: Independent Games at the Dawn of the Internet, is in production now. It will delve into a forgotten chapter in indie games history and the emergence of a new business model for selling software over the internet.
