I bought my work computer so I could stay on the internet (writing caterpillar blog posts/yelling at the moon/hyperventilating about fat borbs), but I really couldn't afford it and it threw my budget out of whack. Halp! Thanks to everyone who helped me buy MS Office for this computer! :D
I love science and nature and I want you to love it, too! I volunteer a lot of my time to outreach projects, both in person (where I bring Real Live Bugs for people to meet!), and through the internet via social media. I focus primarily on insects because that's what I'm the most interested in, and I think they are a vastly under-appreciated part of our world.

Bugs and birds aren't going to photograph themselves! I obsessively collect pictures of things I see in nature, so I can show the world how wonderful and diverse our world is. I also developed a habit of raising caterpillars, and frequently bring live insects to outreach events. These hobbies are time and labor-intensive, and any contribution will help me do bigger, better, and more frequent things!
