Welcome to my Ko-fi Page. And by all means, Buy Me A Game! This is actually a very long story and I am glad to share it with you. I started my blog, NintendObserver, under the Expound theme on WordPress.com way back. Funny thing is, the creator of the theme, Konstantin Kovshenin, had this page on his own blog where people could buy him a beer. So what I did back then was, I played with the idea of replacing "beer" with "game!" For relatively old school gamers out there, at that time there was such a thing as the Virtual Console on Nintendo platforms, so $10 would be a Virtual Console game, $20 would be an indie game, and $60 would be a AAA retail release. Well, here I am now on Ko-fi, and I can actually make this a reality. The "Buy a Game" feature is as smooth as can be, no need to sign up even, all you need is your credit card. And this way, little by little, you can help me turn this passion, this hard work of mine into an actual business. Nine dollars aren't enough to actually buy a videogame these days, but that's a start. Choose the game you would like to recommend in your message as a way to give it a shoutout. And if more and more people choose that game enough to make the total reach the actual price of the game, well, I'll just buy and play it with you! The more people participate, the more we can showcase the diversity of gaming, the diversity of game genres and the diversity of games. You might even come up with a game nobody has ever considered before, and that's something I'd really be eager to find out. Objectively, I'll only make money from Buy Me A Game donations once they're independently or collectively superior to the price of the game at hand. To encourage such gestures, every donor will get a shoutout on NintendObserver to promote the games they recommend, as is currently the case with Animal Crossing New Horizons, CrossCode and Hades.
Make money doing what you love. No fees on donations!
