Payment for commissions is pay-what-you-want; I'll log how long a mod takes to complete (counting working time only) and you can pay what you think is fair for that time. Depending on the complexity of the mod in question, implementation of a single feature (like a mutation) can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours of constant work. If something is out of my current skillset but you'd like me to try anyway, if I *do* pull it off, it would be nice if you could take that into account as well. For Caves of Qud modding commissions, I need a full mod proposal, including balancing information, to start on a mod. If you're leaving some aspects up to me, that's fine, but I'm a programmer first and foremost and not a designer or game balance expert. For things other than small implementation choices, writing up a design document on my own will not only cost more, but also might not have the quality you're looking for. If you're curious about whether a mod idea would even be possible, I'm available to chat about it over Discord free of charge, and give estimates of how difficult I think it might be to implement. I will not create or provide sprites, sounds, or other assets for you, but if you provide them I will gladly integrate them into a mod! On completion, I will transfer all rights regarding mods you commission to you. However, I will only provide free, continuing bugfix support for mods that are open-source and under a license like the Unlicense, some variant of GPL or MPL (including LGPL, AGPL, etc.), Creative Commons, etc. If your mod is restricted or doesn't have publicly-available source for DRM-free download, updates will have to be paid for. If in doubt, ask me and we can discuss licensing.
