Located in the heart of Las Vegas, the museum is part installation work, part exhibition, part archive, and part studio space & prop library. A collection of collections, it is devoted to the diminutive and the discarded, the rare and the common, precious and forgotten – lost buttons, pencil stubs, empty picture frames, marbles… The Office of Collecting and Design is essentially an elaborate love letter to the leftover fragments of our collective memories. The museum is a truly interactive space, visitors are encouraged to open all the drawers, look in all the boxes, take stuff out of jars, and spend time closely inspecting the collection. It is a constantly evolving, living public artwork.
