In the moment, I’m just enjoying a bit of coffee before I continue my pursuit of more artistic projects: drawing comics and other illustrations. As a full-time “artist” these days, I find that I’m busier than I ever was when I had a full-time job. I’ve been doing all sorts of things to elevate my craft and working towards the goal of Self-Publishing my graphic novel A TIGER’S TALE early next year. To that end I’ve even started a newsletter to offer behind-the-scenes glimpses of my process, essays, Access to my very personal auto-bio comic and the occasional doggie photo. My comic art was first published by independent publisher Double Edge Comics. I've has since worked as senior designer for Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine where I created the long running comic series TIGER’S TALE. My first Children’s Picture Book LITTLE MONK AND THE MANTIS was awarded both the Book of the Year Honor from the Gellett Burgess Center for Children’s Literature and the Preferred Choice Award from CREATIVE CHILD MAGAZINE. The middle-grade reader LUCY VELOZ: HIGH-FLYING PRINCESS will feature my illustrations and was published by Cosmic Ray Press.
