Hi! I'm Sarah Ann Winn, founder of Poet Camp, a writing residency for women I started in 2017, which has grown to include classes, online retreats and mentoring. In 2022, I was awarded the MISA Excellence in Teaching Fellowship from the Loft Literary Center. My first book, Alma Almanac (Barrow Street, 2017), was selected by judge Elaine Equi as the winner of the Barrow Street Book Prize. I'm also the author of five chapbooks, most recently, Ever After the End Matter (Porkbelly, 2019). I currently teach workshops online with the Loft, the Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and at Poet Camp Classrooms, the online classroom branch of Poet Camp. I'd like all offerings of Poet Camp to be more inclusive and welcoming, but I'm starting with the online quarterly Cozy Writing Retreats, since one of its goals is to build community while we write together.
