Our diary participants take the time to learn and document their lives, and we feel it's only right to provide honorariums in exchange for their time and energy. So far, we've pocketed from our own savings to fund honorariums for diarists, but it hasn't been sustainable. Please help us in supporting them!
Portraits of is an audio project collaging slice-of-life audio diaries from Asian Americans and folks with Asian roots. In this project, we attempt to cover a medley of voices and experiences of Asians in America and beyond as they are in their present moments: whole, complex, simple, similar, and different; ranging from their celebrations, vulnerabilities, and mundane moments in their lives. The podcast is produced by Stepfanie Aguilar and Emma Palm.
