Hi - I just wanted to say a genuine, hands-on-my-heart THANK YOU to all of you who've tossed a little money into the guitar case over these past few months. I cannot tell you how utterly chuffed, stunned and grateful I am for your support. It's allowed me to cover the costs of migrating my website to a new server after the old one kept going down (and stopping people accessing the Couch to 80k Bootcamp page) and to pay for the podcast's Soundcloud hosting. I'm just me, working from my house, borrowing time from my writing or before bed to write and record the podcast. Thanks to your help, I've been able to really work hard on finding guests, writing new episodes, and thinking of ways to expand what we do to help you folks, the listeners. (I'm always open to suggestions, by the way)
We've got a PITCH RUSH episode coming up at the end of the month, where I read out pitches and short extracts of your unpublished books. Plenty of agents and editors listen to the show (and I'm going to put the word out to let more know about this special episode), so if you're after getting your work heard by industry professionals and hopefully catching someone's ear, and at the very least learning a lot about the process of summarising a book, I hope it's going to be a useful episode. (you can read more on my website, www.timclarepoet.co.uk) It's a good example of the kind of thing I'm able to take a chance on because of the amazing support of folks like you.
Thank you for letting me do this podcast. I love it so much. Every conversation teaches me load about my craft. I'm learning more all the time. I've never felt so like a beginner, or so happy.
