Help me buy a new Laptop

The laptop that I have been using to make stuff has shown it's age, I've been using it for 7 years at this point. So, I've been saving some money and thinking of getting a new one. I did sort of fixed the flexible cable issue by using an external drive but it's not really a permanent fix.
