Writing and art is how I pay my part of the household bills and keep the cats fed.
Hello! I'm Melissa (also known as The River's Wayward Daughter and Auntie Yaga), and I'm an artist, teller of tales, and wanderer. I mostly write stories of roadside gods and genius loci found along my travels, curious objects and artifacts, and of life seen through a lens of myth and folklore (what I like to call "Pareidolia for fun and profit"). I also run Auntie Yaga's Home For Wayward Monsters, a sort of halfway house for childhood monsters in my spare time. Eventually I'm going to set up a sponsorship program for that, because the care and feeding of the residents gets expensive.
