Linoleum relief print with chine collé. The image is 6"x8" printed on 7"x9" paper, matted and framed under glass to 11x14. Color may vary slightly from photograph due to the handmade nature of this artwork. Chine collé is the technique used to give the dragon its color. I coat the back of decorative paper with a water activated glue, and then tear them into the shape of the dragon. After I ink my linoleum block, I carefully place the colored cutout on my block before laying the lightly moistened final paper over top of both and running it through my press. The moisture in the paper activates the glue on the cutout and transfers it to the final paper along with the ink. Exposure to water can potentially damage the designs on these prints. Please protect them from moisture.
