"I'm Sick" is a zine working through the grief of being disabled in the pandemic. Using DIY crafting and collaging style to express the isolation of lockdown and the impact of ableist ideas in society. A zine if you want to feel seen and cry. This zine is dedicated to my friend Cyrene. Cyrene has Crohn's, arthritis, and OCD and documents her experiences being a disabled young woman online. She loves teaching, writing, and doing paint by numbers. She is an amazing friend, loving, so funny and cares so much about the injustices people face in her own communities, as well as other communities. Cyrene has been having a pretty shit time with her healthcare, so with her consent I'm using this zine as a mutual aid fund where we will split the earnings between us. There are no strings attached or requirements for the money Cyrene will get from these sales, I believe in having the agency to decide for oneself where the funds would be best used. I just want to help ease Cyrene's and her family's minds a little. If you want to learn more about Cyrene and what she has been going through, you can read it all in her own words on her instagram account @DiaryOfACrohnie_ Thank you for your interest in my zine. The cost is £2 minimum pay, but open to the buyer to pay more if they wish to.
