At this level you get your name in the ‘Thanks To’ section of the credits for all eight episodes of series one of 'Greg Chapman's Magic Show', which is currently filming! You will also get all the benefits of the ‘Join The Team Crowdfunder Reward’ and the ‘Thank You’ Video Crowdfunder Reward’. Why We Are Crowdfunding: On 31st December 2020 our travel documentary ‘Romania: Seeking Dracula’s Castle’ was accepted on to Prime Video. This is a big step forward for us (previously our documentaries have only been on YouTube), but as we step up to try to make this our full-time jobs, we realise we need to improve some of our kit, and to help market our videos… We have just upgraded our sound equipment, however, to raise the level of professionalism in our videos, we also need to upgrade our cameras. There are three new cameras we want to get to make the five documentaries and mini-series we hope to shoot over the next twelve months. We need a more professional camcorder, one which allows for a much better depth of colour, control of focus, low-light ability, etc. We need a much better quality of underwater camera and lights for capturing all of the underwater footage we need, and we need a high quality action camera to act both as a secondary underwater camera, and to allow us to get more in-car and action footage on our travels. All of this equipment will cost us just short of £5000! Of course, with so many people supporting us we want as many people to see what we create as possible. We have also set aside £1000 from our goal amount to go into marketing these films. This is your chance to help us make all of these videos. Our hope is to get these documentaries onto Prime Video and as many other streaming platforms as possible to be seen far and wide! We really enjoy the feeling of community around what we do, and like to share the experience of creating these things with you all, so please head over to our Ko-Fi shop at www.ko-fi.com/greg/shop to buy yourself a ‘reward’ and join the team! The projects we are working on next (although filming dates on each will be Covid depending) are: Mexico: Seeking The Ancient Maya – We’ve learned a lot since our honeymoon, and we also have wonderful footage of our journey across Mexico in search of Ancient Maya cities. That footage will be combined with all new studio footage and CGI to create a new documentary about the Ancient Maya, and our search for their cities in Mexico. Documentary 1: To be announced… We have a few ideas for documentaries. The first one we are hoping to film will be a documentary about the history and workings of a place which Greg finds fascinating. We are currently awaiting word on whether we can have permission to film this ‘first choice’ documentary. We will announce details as soon as we can! Saving Cetaceans in Scotland - As many of you will be aware, we like to support and promote a message of ‘Saving Our Seas’ – and part of this over recent years has been fundraising for the Cetacean Research and Rescue Unit (CRRU.org.uk), a charity dedicated to the study, conservation and understanding of UK whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans) in northeast Scotland. We have arranged to go and join their team for a short period in order to document the wonderful work they do! We are hoping that this filming will take place in July – although as with everything this is flexible depending on the situation – but, most importantly, it will be made as soon as possible! We’ve also decided that once this documentary is released we’ll be donating 10% of our documentaries earnings off of this film to the charity. Italy: Seeking Leonardo Da Vinci: Greg has a fascination with Da Vinci, and, having spent nearly ten years touring in the country, a special place in his heart for Italy. We’ll be travelling around Italy seeking out places connected with Da Vinci, and sharing the story of his life and inventions. As we know that Greg has a lot of friends and supporters in Italy, we will guarantee that this will be made available with Italian subtitles! Untitled Travel Documentary: We have a stack of our ‘dossiers’ with plans for travel documentaries all ready to go, but exactly which will come first will depend entirely on where it is safe to travel to! Lady Felicity’s Magical Menagerie: While she has so far taken the co-star position in the ‘Ever So Slightly Exaggerated Tales of Mr Greg Chapman’ audiobooks, it is clear that she should be the star! In this first series of four adventures, each lasting approximately 20-25 minutes, Lady Felicity (and sometimes her alter ego, Fliss the Mermaid), and of course her ‘sidekick’ husband, set off to solve mysteries and save creatures with comedy, compassion, and of course a bundle of Steampunk gadgetry! All with an environmental message hidden behind the fun! Greg Chapman’s Magic Show: An eight episode magic show series presented by Greg.
