UPD. 03/01/2023 I ordered a bit too many units of TRAE and now offer some for those who missed the original listing. I might list additional units later. Though as it stands I might not be able to have any spares left. If you are making an order in 2023 please be aware it might take me 4-8 weeks to ship it as I'm still clearing the backlog with the original 124 purchases. ENSURE YOU READ THE REST OF THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING. *** Please note, you are not buying a finished game. This DVD is for pure archival purposes. The most recent build of TRAE can be downloaded here: www.tomb-of-ash.com/trae-indy-build This is 100% unofficial. The whole purpose of this run was to create a physical version for video game museums so the game, thought unfinished, is preserved in a physical form. I needed to order at least 50 units to make it happen, and I offered people to have their own Kofi through this listing. We reached a minimum threshold, and I am now shipping to museums and to those who ordered the DVD. The cost of the DVD plus shipping and packing is included in the price. *** On June 8, 2006, a video game trailer showing footage of a new Tomb Raider game was published at planetlara.com. The title of the trailer claimed that the game title was Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition, a game by Core Design for PSP. The trailer showcased remastered environments from the original (1996) Tomb Raider game, with new animations and interactions. The video was then taken down but re-emerged again in the next few months. I dedicated many years collating the information on this cancelled game and a couple of years ago I managed to source an unfinished build. Fans like Ghostblade, Reborn in shadows, Xproger and many others dedicated months of their personal time to making the build playable. We're still far away from a fully fledged game, but you can, at the very least, experience environments and general feel of this game that never were. It is now my mission to ensure that any assets I received are not only double uploaded onto two separate cloud servers (thanks to those of you who donated me on ko-fi to make it happen) but also archive.org. However, Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition (TRAE) deserves a bit more than just being preserved online. As such, I’ve been contacting a few video game museums to see if they’d be interested in having a physical copy of all the developer assets (and fan-made patches that made them playable) in their collections. I’ve received some positive feedback, so I started working on putting this project together. I asked Gary Larochelle, the designer who created incredible manuals and CD covers for Tomb Raider 2: Golden Mask and Tomb Raider 3: The Lost Artefact, to create a print layout. Inna Vjuzhanina created a fantastic cover art for this as well. This DVD includes: • all the TRAE files that I collected through the years. • the most recent (to date) fan-patched playable build along with all the original files. • fan creations dedicated to Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition This is a non-profit project; the minimum price you pay goes into covering the creation of the DVD. There's a pay what you want option for those who would like to support my blog with a tip. ETA Delivery: *UPDATED DECEMBER 22* I received the DVDs from the factory, and I'm now slowly shipping them out. Your order will be marked as SHIPPED here on Kofi so check your emails from time to time. I hope to finish shipping through January. SHIPPING INFO: I listed a few countries and locations with tailored pricing. For the rest of the world I added the absolute maximum cost. If you'd like an actual price for your country, please, email me at email@example.com and I will add it here. EU: Please, note that I ship with tracked service only (hence pricing). Sending it with economy or standard is risking it being stuck at destination's customs for weeks or months. This is due to Brexit. If you are willing to risk economy shipping, please, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Transparency: I use royal mail for shipping. You can use send.royalmail.com to see the price of shipping to your country (small parcel, up to 750g).
